The new Indian Motorcycles certainly look like sweet rides. Though my bike only has a 100 cubic inch engine and not the new 105’s, it does have a lot of the upgrades that went into the new models. (Mostly because the folks that rebuilt my engine did consulting with the new company’s engine design team.) Oh sure, I could get the fuel injection added, a new Baker 6, and possibly get it stroked out to 110″. But right now, I’d be happy with a new belt and a new moisture-sealed speedo. These things will have to wait. I logged so few miles this year, mostly because you can’t strap a child seat on the back. Still, I’m glad I have the one that I do, because there’s no way I can afford one of the new models.
Perhaps soon I’ll even install the seat rail, rear crash bars and fender tips I’ve had sitting in the garage forever. I need someone skilled at working with metal to help with that, though.
